Bryan has more than 13 years experience in the design industry. After completing his studies in Marketing and Sales Management, he decided that a "suit and tie" job was not for him, and changed the focus of his studies, and enrolled in a course on Desk Top Publishing.

Shortly after qualifying he was employed by the Independent Newspaper Group in Cape Town, where he spent three and a half years designing adverts for the newspapers' client base.

In January 1999, he packed up everything he had and moved to Johannesburg, where he worked for Systems Publishers. Initially designing graphics for a number of IT titles, he soon moved to SRM, the Custom Print division at Systems Publishers. There he worked on magazines for illustrious companies like Microsoft, CCH, Siltek, Telkom and MTN to name a few. A number of E-zines (electronic magazines) also came his way. While there, Bryan was trained in the art of website design.

The retrenchment bug bit again and Bryan moved to Future Publishing. There he worked on a wide range of magazine titles, from endangered wildlife publications, to marketing journals and while there, created the designs which won Future Publishing the tender to design the British Airways in-flight magazine, for its southern African routes.

In August 2002 he was approached by the publisher of IE Magazine, to work for that title. He moved across in October of the same year and helped launch a second title, Butler, soon thereafter.

He remained at IE Publishers until retrenched in February of 2009.
